Backgammon for Three — Quick Start Guide

TrigammonX™ takes the familiar ideas of backgammon and brings a third player to the board. Three players, 15 checkers each and one shared 36-point playing field create a game that is easy to understand but introduces a whole new layer of strategy. If you already know backgammon, much of TrigammonX will feel immediately familiar. You roll the dice, move your checkers, hit exposed opponents, build blocks and race to bear off all 15 checkers first. The big difference is simple: you now have two opponents to watch.

Three Players. One Board. One Winner.

Each player begins from an equal position around the board and moves toward their own bearing-off area. Everyone shares the same playing field, so your moves can affect both opponents — and theirs can affect you. That means a move which puts pressure on one player may also create an opportunity for the third. The fundamentals are familiar, but three-player interaction makes every game different.

Choose How You Want to Play

TrigammonX can be played with three human players, two humans and one computer player, or one human against two computer players. You can also choose how you want to roll. Official 2 Dice offers a more familiar backgammon-style experience, while Triple Dice creates more movement possibilities and a faster, more dynamic style of play.
