TrigammonX – Three Players, One Strategic Battlefield

Concept artwork shown. The final board design may be refined as development continues.

TrigammonX transforms familiar gameplay into a next-gen three-player experience without losing the feel of classic backgammon-style strategy. While many multiplayer variations drift away from the original mechanics, TrigammonX stays as close as possible to that foundation, preserving movement, timing, and flow while introducing a balanced three-sided board. The result is a game where every decision is influenced by two opponents, creating constant tension, shifting advantage, and a deeper level of play.

🧬 ORIGIN

Inspired by the original three-player Trigammon-style concept my brother Dennis and I developed in 1979, TrigammonX brings that idea forward into a modern web-based format for today’s players.

Help Shape TrigammonX

TrigammonX is an early-stage, three-player backgammon-style game prototype. We’re looking for a small number of careful early testers to try the first playable web version and share honest feedback. You don’t need to be technical. Backgammon or board-game experience is helpful, but patience, clear feedback, and a willingness to follow a short testing checklist matter most. Early testers may be credited on the future TrigammonX website or rules page, and will receive free lifetime access if the game later becomes a paid product.
